The Pomodoro Technique
Developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, this time management method uses a timer to break work into focused intervals, traditionally 25 minutes, separated by short breaks.
Why it works
Frequent breaks keep your mind fresh and focused. The fixed time constraint creates a sense of urgency that helps overcome procrastination and maintain deep concentration.
How to use it
Work for 25 minutes, take a 5-minute break. After 4 sessions, take a longer 15-minute break. Customize the durations to find your personal focus sweet spot.
